Yes, Aurifix is Lisa's familiar or fetch, a par of her nature with will and animation of its own. It started as a set of golden bonds, but later revealed itself to be a part of her, her draconic nature.

Are these latest 4 "Kim in the Abyss" sketches out of order? It seems like the "Paladin Encounter" should be first, since the stone she's embedded in seems to fit, and be attached to, the path, and in "Grounded" it looks like it might be how it landed after her "Etheral Free Fall".
In which case the look on her face might be relief... "Whew, still alive!"
