A question, though, about this phrase: “At one point she got bound in such a way that not even magic could release her arms.“ So this is why she visits the dwarves—in Ariel meets the mountain king, is this the way she is bound? Or have her restraints been intensified by the dwarves already at that point? And why do the dwarves not like her?

The apparatus is designed in such a way, that, if she raises her arms up, her legs will go down. i think she just likes to show off.
