I love the mood here. She's like a gymnast starring down a set of uneven parallel bars that she's totally ready for. She's completely mentally prepared to do the unthinkable. The fact that the unthinkable involves being bound and naked in a mystical temple of some sort for the rest of eternity is totally immaterial to her.

What we see in the background might be the result of more than 3D, as in Dr Who's Tardis, small outside, big inside. Magic? Hah! advanced science. As Arthur C Clarke used to say, any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

The figures in the background are larger than life. The pillars might be transparent, so we see thru them, or the background is a reflection of something going on behind the viewer.

I think Grigbertz was just playing around when he made the pillars continue the illustration like that. But its a magical world; what good is magic if you can't do visual tricks like that with it? :)

Those aren't on the wall behind her, unless the collumns were painted to form the illusion that it was a solid painting, the images cross over the pillars.

Given the wall decorations behind her, it seems that her vision quest might be very interesting. What will happen in the dark when the candles burn out and the coals in the brazier flicker and die? I'd like to know!
