So, therefore, it's a stockade, since thre is no place to put the head in those things, it's just used in a slightly unconventional way.

Stocks vs. Pillory

Apparently stocks restrained just ankles or just arms, in a lying or seated position. Pillory's restrained the neck as well, and in a standing position (that word and "pillar" might have common origins). Stocks were considered a less severe punishment for lesser crimes. Pillory, given the position, also functioned as whipping posts. Who knew? Learned something new today...

@Anonimous: Surely you mean stocks and not stockade?

Very awesome, a work of pure art as always. One problem, though: That's a stockade, not a pillory.

That's one of my favorite pieces of bondage furniture she's locked in. One of these days I plan on having my own, but until then I can only dream. Ironic how the people are the ugly ones, while the witch is so pretty.

Chained Witch Struggling

this dress reminds me of something i read in a clothing catalog: it called this style a "mermaid" dress; very tight and narrow from wiast to knees, then but flaring out below the knees. BTW, a dress that goes loosely straight down it called "column" style, and one that stuck out far in back was called "cathedral" style!
