With a name like that, I'd guess that it was the old Nine Lives Stealing (later just Life-Stealing) sword from D&D. It sometimes drains HP from the enemy to the wielder on a successful attack.

Soul Reaver properties
From the game of the same name? Basically it's almost unblockable and causes damage to the spirit as well as the body. It can even consume souls and as it does so it becomes even more powerful. It's also capable to harming even the most powerful of demons.
