Assuming this planet rotates around it's axis and a star etc. The rods would have to hold their position based on a frame of reference. The center of the planet or maybe just the base she's on. Move the base you move the girl. Or a necklace. She wears the necklace, she doesn't move. You wear the necklace, she follows you everywhere. Perhaps a simpler version of the girl in the flying bondage.
