Coil trap
The texture of the restraints looks like a coil trap. The magical wire is laid out in a circular coil which springs to life when the right victim enters the circle. Spinning like a tornado the three coils become more numerous as the diameter of the coils decreases. Spinning, wrapping tighter and tighter as ther coils grow more numerous.
