Jennie and her Owlbear

After leaving the crash site of their kidnappers’ spaceship, the Chaingirls got scattered and lost contact with each other. Jennie ended up in a forest filled with wild animals and beasts of all sorts, but somehow they seemed less dangerous and more helpful to Jennie - almost as if by magic.

Meanwhile, Cecilia and Elise had befriended the Satyr wizard Stormstaff, and had asked him to help their lost friend. The capricious wizard sent some flying metal spheres to look for her - and when one of them found Jennie, it attached itself to her piercing and led her in the correct direction with a gentle, but insistent tugging.

However, that led Jennie straight into the path of a wounded owlbear. But with her talents for handling beasts and healing them, that turned into a boon instead of a hazard. After getting healed, the owlbear repaid her by carrying the restrained girl a great portion of the way... in its own special way.
