The Making of The Minstrel
Still giddy after the night's festivities, Sheela was lost in the healing magic kiss, heedless of what was being done to her.
She had been singing along with the fairies, who soon became enthralled with her voice.
"Our Queen herself was impressed by your singing. You will surely go on to become a legendary minstrel."
"In dreams maybe, but in the real world you need to earn money. I couldn't hope to make a proper living singing. I aim to be a scribe, who can always find a paying job."
The Fairy Queen was irked and decreed Sheela's singing voice too precious to be set aside for some mundane human concerns.
Her fairy subjects took a straightforward approach to making the scribe career a non-option.
