Of course, the real question is -- if just the scent of this delicious dish can destroy clothing, how long would actually eating it leave you stuck denuded? ;)

I would imagine, if the glue were highly magical, they could shift positions but not get rid of it. It would most likely just change where it was on their body, possibly attaching something else. Every shift might leave them stuck in a new position. Worst case scenario(or best), a shift exposes some glue, allowing to accidentally stick to something that can't shift

Shapeshifting
They have shapeshifting magic, I imagine, like most high fantasy planets -- So worse comes to worse, they simply shapeshift into another form, then shapeshift back with their hands unstuck. Simple -- if a bit expensive.
