I love the idea that a girl who is bound and naked is worried about what people will think of her to point where she volunteers to cook for them. Is there a story that I can read about this character?

Normally Grigbertz's detail is excellent, but that cat looks wrong. Too solid, and seemingly hostile. I suggest a slimmer cat rubbing itself against Lisa's ankles.

Too much bondage

I know that Mr G is keen on female bondage, but in this picture the bondage is excessive. Lisa can just have her wrists in frongt of her & secured by a light chain 30 cm long, or have her elbows secured behind her by a light chain half a metre long. Makes stirring the pot easy.

Active Bondage

I suggest active bondage, which detects what is happening & either relaxes to allow Lisa to stir the soup easily, or more restrictive to remind her that she is just a girl. See Naishee & the Slave Girl, where it is appropriate for a defiant Naishee to be exposed & vulnerable.

Isn't inconvenience the whole point of bondage? After all, it would be even easier to stir it if she weren't tied up at all. I'm curious how long she's been with Douglass at this point. She seems perfectly comfortable with being naked. No matter if she's in front of a whole town, or alone with one guy in his house. I imagine someone would give her clothes if she asked.....

The point of bondage is restraint. There is a difference between being defenceless & being helpless. Ideal bondage makes a girl open, exposed, defenceless, but still allows her to be devoted by performing services such as cooking.

I think you guys are still missing the point. Lisa isn't a slave. The guy whittling there isn't her master and nobody forced her to cook in bondage that made it impossible for her to cook in. She enjoys having her wrists and elbows bound and she's so worried that people will judge her for it that she's volunteering to cook dinner for this random guy. I like this form of bondage much better. This isn't about oppression, it's just about beauty and kindness. She isn't being objectified or beaten into submission. She's expressing herself and hoping that society will respect her for it.

I (the aforementioned guest) didn't mean to dismiss others fantasies. Some were suggesting that the bondage was too severe and (I thought) asking the artist to make it less severe. I was simply expressing that I appreciate the severity of it and don't want this kind of art to go away. Also, art isn't (IMO) totally open to interpretation. If I interpreted this painting to be of a unicorn, you could disagree. Some things about this are objective, like the fact that the girl is smiling, which should suggest that the bondage is, at least in her opinion, NOT to severe. I would even argue that the fact that she is smiling means that by definition the bondage is not to severe. I don't think this is an interpretation of art, I think this is a statement about bondage. In conclusion, I think the artist should make more art like this and that people who dislike this because they find it too excessive needn't look. Peace ~Guest

A girl can learn to do all sorts of things with her wrists and elbows cuffed together; and stirring a pot is certainly an easy enough task. People are making to big of a deal about how strict her bondage is; But no-one seems to have noticed that her ankle chains are missing in this picture.

Kinda surprised they didn't toss an apron or similar clothing on her. A dress that she could step into would not require her arms be free, for example.
