Well, most people in Dark City now know this, thanks to Deathwatch, the media corporation that broadcasts the memories of the dead.
Not only do they not need to pay their cameramen, they can alos get into situations that literally no-one walked out from alive. Sometimes, their coverage of major events is a bit late, but their operatives are masters of finding some recently deceased person whose memories can be tapped.
