The virtual reality of Dark City. It can be accessed almowt everywhere, at least out of the Slum Levels. It is a merchantile network, but also a place to meet, make friends, have sex and get robbed or raped, all with less risk than in the real world. It's perfectly safe. Stories of how people have suffered from tauma after using the Data Net are just urban legends.
