The trick is probably...
to put the padlock through one side first, with the shackles in front of you, then loop the other one through behind you. Then rotate the padlock against the ground to close.
That's the easy part. The hard part is there's no freakin way you're going to get a key into that padlock to get back out again!

I like that one! Maybe not for this drawing, but I'm may use it myself, for one of my own stories.
Or... Maybe the yoke & sign is a teleport trap: Velicia tried to teleport into a room containing the yoke and the attached sign with magic runes written on it. These runes caused her to appear within the yoke, with her clothes either left behind or diverted elsewhere. And now she's inconvenienced by being caught in the trap.
