Full Disclosure: I just really liked the pun "The Naked Truth" as a name of a TV show with a permanently exposed hostess. ;)

Thoughts
The speed of the goo wasn't important (in a way, having the goo be somewhat slow moving and the girl still unable to change her fate is better - I think I might change it), I just liked the idea of some girl having two lives, and never quite knowing exactly when she'd be forced to switch between them like this. (I have a mental list of criteria for when her nanites' pre-programmed changes occur, I'll put that in the wiki someplace.)

Oh my!
Oh my gosh. I'm stunned. Thank you so much Grigbertz. :) I take it you enjoyed the idea?

Cable TV
As for our intrepid reporter turned Cable TV personality... How about the name Natalie? As in "Natalie the Naturist, host of the world's most adventurous late night talk show, 'The Naked Truth'." I picture it being something like a cross between "The Daily Show" and "Late Night with David Letterman." ;) Well, anyway, just an amusing thought.

Re: FAQ
Glad to see the FAQ is incoming. Mostly because it means your muse has really struck gold this time. :D
Hm. Removal of the nanites and their benefits... does this mean that it's not just what amounts to a bikini of clothes dissolving goo, but the full range of enhancements (immunity to aging / hunger / etc) that the Receptor girls get? Just without the restraints? That would be a sure fire way to give her incite to the girls' condition.

Re: come uppance
As far as the aliens are concerned, this is not a matter of comeuppance or punishment. Those things are practised only by less enlightened cultures.
The reporter was simply given the benefit of a free learning experience, initially intended to be temporary.
Some considered the planned withdrawal of her nanites and their many benefits a cruel punishment in itself. Being big softies (literally), they eventually began to take a liking to her and everybody was overjoyed to be able to reward her with permanent nanites.
As for the internet trolls...Let's leave those for the Daleks.
I'll try to publish an FAQ as soon as possible :)

The First
Seems this first DNA receptor has become a public spectacle. The public humiliation of her bound condition slowly fades. And the baffling mystery of what and how this happened to her attracts the greatest minds in the world, starting with the good hearted doctor. She's allowed little rest as they take small samples from her. And provide her with DNA samples in great abundance. Later receptors are taken into private ownership: corporations, frat houses, professional sports teams and even homeless tent towns, out of sight of the general public.

come uppance
Was this a rush job, were all of her undies coated? What happened to her unneeded, excess undies, hmmm. Could be the cause of an epidemic. Bet it was the internet trolls that convinced the aliens she was deserving of permanent punishment.

Love it!
Love it! Does it affect her entire body, or merely where the lingerie touched? And I presume she also gets the tingling and itching sensations to go along with it?
Also, I added Alien Abductions to the Grigbertz wiki, along with what we know about the girls' plight.

Oh, just imagine the nano-goo crawling into the clothing-store behind her, and infecting the clothes there - causing them to dissolve or change into something both revealing and restrictive at an inopportune time...
