Nancy sipped at her glass of red wine, the summer breeze tickling across her skin.  Behind her, her apartment's TV played her own voice behind her as the evening's show continued on.

"We'll round out the evening with stand up from friend of the show, David K.C.!"

You could tell there were two tracks, Nancy thought to herself.  The canned applause interfered with the audience's actual applause.  They would crucify her show online for it, she just knew it.

She'd have to have some audio engineer fired for that one.

The interview went well.  He had spent 10 minutes doing standup mocking her nudity, her rivalry with Natalie, and the absurdity that there was not one, but TWO naked TV hosts now.  Exactly how they had rehearsed it.  Then he had spent another 10 minutes openly leering at her body.  Worse, she could do nothing but let him do it, as any attempts at hiding would have ruined her ruse.

She turned and walked back to her couch, turning the channel with a flourish.  Instantly, Natalie's breasts filled the screen.  Unlike Nancy's show, Natalie's nudity went uncensored on cable TV, something that was scandalous enough to triple her ratings for the first month.  Winters repeated that in every meeting, but she had refused every single time.

"I'm wearing my new 'Rivers of Cotton' blouse," Natalie's voice said as she flexed and posed, "part of my Summer Peek-a-boo collection, exclusive to our friends at Macy's."

Nancy glared at the screen, watching Natalie's little show.  The idea of merchandise... she honestly hadn't thought about it.  Natalie's unique "half naked" condition made clothing deals possible, and very profitable.  Nancy grumbled.

Wish I had thought of that before we said total nudity, she thought to herself as she sipped at her wine.  Still, it wasn't supposed to be her hosting the show in the first place...

"An adjustable strap in the rear lets you show off as much, or as little, as you might like. I'm wearing the matching stockings, and it comes with an optional skirt, for those girls who are feeling a little shy."

She clicked the mute button on the TV in a huff.  Idiotic.  The sooner she finished her book, the better.  Still, she had to admit her naked competition looked... downright cute in that outfit.

Her cellphone started buzzing away on her coffee table, causing her to stop reaching for her laptop in mid stretch.  She reached right past it and snatched the phone.

Unknown Caller.  She glanced at it suspiciously and put it to her ear.  "Hello?"

"Nancy Yamamoto?"  The voice on the other end was oddly metallic sounding.  A voice changer?

"Yes, who is this?"

"If you want a scoop about the abductee girls that will make your career, be at Cherished Memories Campgrounds in 1 hour."

"What?  Who?"  Nancy glanced again at the phone.  "How did you get this number?!"

"If you want a scoop about the abductee girls that will make your career, be at Cherished Memories Campgrounds in 1 hour."

The phone went dead.  Nancy stared at it for a second.  A scoop about those crazy cultists?  Of course she would want in on that.

She stood up and immediately hesitated.  Her long, braided wig was at work, leaving her with her real hair -- a short pixie cut.  It made it easier to sneak out of the studio, but the same anonymity would now work against her.  Worse, whoever this was would be expecting a naked celebrity reporter, not... her.

And what if whoever this contact was then broke her cover?

Nancy licked her lips, the taste of copper in her mouth as she glanced over at Natalie on the TV.  Natalie's breasts were swaying slightly as she held up some newspaper, obviously in the middle of some skit.  The woman's sickening grin seemed to dig into her.  The fact that her ratings were double Nancy's made it even worse.

A scoop...  About those nutjobs.  Including Natalie, Nancy thought silently.

Without a second thought, Nancy grabbed her keys and stormed out into the night.

A short time afterwards, hidden in orbit roughly above a secluded park, an alien intelligence watched Nancy's car pull up.

The alien's language is a fluid sort, utterly alien and difficult to comprehend by humans.  The alien's name could be communicated three separate ways, depending on if one was communicating verbally, visually, or via mind-link, each equivalent and yet each completely and utterly different from each other.

We'll call him Bob.  It's close enough.


Bob bubbled happily as Nancy exited her car.  His direct visual scan confirmed what weeks of remote scans and in depth review of her Audio Visual communications had hinted at:

... She was absolutely perfect!

Nancy glanced around the deserted campsites, looking for some hint of her contact.  She hadn't seen anyone in the half hour of driving it took to get to the camp, the roads being eerily empty as she drove on through the summer night.  There were no other cars at the campsite, either, just empty wilderness and forest as far as she could see.

Not a human for miles around.

A strange music-like noise, haunting and electronic, waived slowly across the campgrounds.  Nancy spun around, glancing towards one of the clearings.

"Hello?"  She wet her lips as a strange taste of copper filled her mouth.  Shaking her head, she walked down the dirt path.

In the center of the clearing, bits of some kind of equipment were strewn about, along with what used to be some form of tent -- it's canvas being completely weathered away.  A broken antenna lay on top of a toppled telescope.  Pieces of magazines with names like "Open Minds" and "UFO Quarterly."  A sign, faded but readable, stated "Welcome Aliens" in garish colors.

Was her contact some sort of UFO nut?  Nancy thought as she stepped into the center of the clearing.  As she did, the strange noise returned, faintly on the wind.  A strange tingle ran up and down her back as she listened to it.

"Hel--mmpm?"  The copper taste filled Nancy's mouth even as her tongue seemed to slow and her lips seemed to stick gently together.

What the hell, she thought to herself as she brought a hand up to her mouth.  She tried to prod her lips apart and found she couldn't.  The only thing putting off her rising panic was the strange sensation of something oozing between her toes.

With a start, Nancy glanced downwards.  Her feet were sinking slowly into the dirt, the hard ground seeming to ripple and wave despite retaining the appearance of dirt and gravel.  Worse, her socks and shoes seemed to be melting away even as her feet sank deeper into the strange ground, a trail of smoke and some sort of shoe colored liquid flowing away from where the dirt surrounded her foot.

Jesus, Nancy tried to shout with no success as she failed to jump back, her feet sticking into the strange dirt quite readily.  She waved her arms around her as she struggled to keep balance.  Staring in awe, she pulled her left leg upwards, the ground seeming to follow like some sort of rubber glob, it distorting and rippling while retaining the appearance of being made of dirt, gravel, sticks and leaves.

With an audible pop, a square corner of the "ground" sprang free, causing Nancy to fall backwards into a sitting position, her hips and hands sinking into the ground much like her legs did.  She stared on in awe as a straight line of "dirt" peeled into the air as the ground underneath her seemed to roll back, flowing and rippling, like a piece of paper had been laid out across the ground.

Like a... glue trap... Nancy realized in horror, even as she felt the strange ooze surrounding her hands and suddenly bare hips.  Her fear rising, she twisted, the ooze surrounding her hands stretching but not letting go, like melted cheese.  The corner her struggles had pulled up already landed on top of her legs with an audible plop.

She watched as the fabric of her jeans seemed to sizzle, smoke, and melt away wherever the ooze touched, leaving her skin visible through the semi-transparent gel.  It felt warm and tingly, but not painful.

No, no no no, Nancy screamed silently as she tried to stand back up, her struggles doing little more than pulling the edges behind her upwards, off the real ground.  With a sickening sound, the sudden change of resistance caused Nancy to fall forward, the strange ooze landing on her back, pushing her down into the ooze that was in front of her.

Nancy pushed off the ground, her arms seeming to wrap themselves in the ooze even as her jacket melted and fizzled away.  She could do little more than twist and wrench herself, which just lead to even more of the ooze getting on her.  Within minutes, she found herself wrapped up tightly by the gentle, but inescapable, clutches of the strange translucent slime.

Minutes later, Nancy stared on in horror as a bright circle of light opened above her.  She couldn't move an inch as long tentacles lifted her off the ground, pulling her ever closer to the gaping hole.

Bob jiggled in glee, watching Nancy sleep peacefully, her body tightly restrained against the wall of one of the ship's art studios.  Her skin was flawless, her body petite and beautiful.  It was a dream come true to find material this perfect.

Another alien wobbled over to Bob, staring at the young woman.  "This is the girl who has been trying to destroy our Natalie?" It bubbled in something akin to annoyance.

Bob fizzed back.  "Hey, her show is much better than Natalie's anyway!  She has much better jokes and her interviews are more hard hitting."

The other alien turned a shade of green.  "No way, she's just a knockoff!"

"She perfected the formula!"

The two stared at each other, as close to angry as their advanced race ever got.  A third alien walked by, Bob and his friend turning to him as he did.  "Hey, you!  Do you watch Natalie or Nancy on the visualports?"

The blob cocked it's head slightly.  "Neither.  I watch Conan."

It jiggled and bubbled as it laughed, Bob and the other alien watching it walk away unamused.  "Weirdo."  Both said, shaking their heads.

Bob turned to the other alien.  "Still, we have to help this poor girl."  He jiggled and bubbled.  "Can't you see she's confused?  She thinks she's a special project like Natalie."

"True, she does seem to be confused..." The alien rippled, looking at the mind scans.  "Will you be turning her into a receptor?  She should be safe, then."

"No," Bob gurgled smugly, "I have a much better idea..."


Bob watched intently as the nano-goo slowly seeped into Nancy's skin, permanently bonding with it and the tissues underneath.  Above, the goo slowly worked it's magic on the strange fur these aliens had on their craniums, causing it to grow at an enhanced rate.  With a wave of one tentacle, the fur on the rest of her body silently melted away, the follicles being permanently disabled by the goo.

There was something fascinating about this, Bob thought to himself as he programmed the nanites that would shape Nancy's life from now on.  It was strangely... different setting up one of these special project girls, leaving them to grow in their own unique way while still implementing restrictions and incentives.  The Earthians had some name for it...

Bonsai?

He bubbled happily as he continued his work.  Nancy's hair shaped itself slowly into the long braid that her false hair was designed around.  From now on, it would naturally grow into this shape, and no further.  If she changed it, or somehow removed it, it would return to this shape over the course of one to two planetary cycles.

The alien watched as a fresh layer of goo flowed across Nancy's skin.  The foreign material emancipation grid -- the clothes destroying goo, as the Earthians put it -- unlike Natalie, no part of Nancy's body was spared coverage.  As he watched it permanently bond with her skin tissue, he wobbled.  Nancy would be naked for the rest of her life, her confusion about being a special project girl being solved by simply making it real.  He bubbled slightly as her skin took on a slightly shiny, wet look -- she did something to her body before each show to make it shine, she would never have to again.

The data file slowly transferred to Nancy's nano-matrix, the same data file used in Natalie.  It had the standard modifications, the protection of health, the regeneration, the... incentives to receive human male DNA.  Bob grinned as he slipped a slimy tentacle against Nancy's nether region, a sudden flash of inspiration coming to him.  With a quick shift, the nanites inside Nancy shifted and adjusted her muscles and flesh; from now on, she would feel strangely empty unless she was being filled down there, something that would no doubt encourage her to be filled whenever possible.

Bob bubbled as he continued to watch the data file transfer, a tentacle running across Nancy's nipples.  Further inspired, he sent a fresh data file -- instantly, the sensitivity in Nancy's erogenous zones increased sharply and permanently.  He bubbled more as he added a time adjustment to the effect -- the longer Nancy went without release, the more sensitive her body would become.

Yes, it was definitely fascinating, he thought to himself as inspiration seemed to pour into him.  The nanites in Nancy's body could be programmed to do any number of things, he thought as he created data file after data file, sending some of them into Nancy's nanites, along with their strange conditions and reflexes, which would become her new reality.

Nancy awoke with a start, fading dreams of odd blobs and grinning faces fading as she sat up, glancing around.  She was in the middle of the campground, having been laying along the top of one of the picnic tables.  The moon was low in the sky -- day would be here soon.

A gentle breeze ran across her naked skin, bringing her into the moment.  She slapped her arms across her body, glancing around in a panic.  She could... remember... something happened.  There was a clearing, and a noise, and...

She tasted copper as she tried, and failed, to remember much past the noise.  Where had her clothes gone?  What had happened?

Nancy noticed her phone, keys, and various pieces of plastic and metal she had carried were in a pile next to where she sat.  Strangely, her wallet was gone, but the plastic contents of it were intact.  Shaking her head, Nancy scooped the metal into her hands, running for the safety of her car.  Something was decidedly weird here, and she would get to the bottom of it.  But... only after she was home and safe, and decidedly more dressed.

She was so quick to get to her car that she failed to notice her new, knee length braided ponytail that bobbed behind her, tickling her hips, her skin's new natural shine, or the strange, bubbling laughter of someone watching her from afar.
