Dark City

Sonia Wight is approached by Mordred Prince of Deviant Inc. They offer the use of facilities where she could fully develop her time magics in an attempt to enclose Demon Alpha in a time tomb. Sonia Wight is skeptic, considering their reputation. She consults Ayrtan Davis and Mistress Medusa, who both warn her but say that she might well be able to get out ahead.

Phoenix and Sonia Wight go out looking for demon clues. Psiborg Isobel shows up and starts to flirt with Phoenix, who is not very enthusiastic about it. Together they spot a pair of City Hall workmen coming out of a maintenance hatch. Talking to them or even reading their minds produces little result, so we move down the hatch to investigate. There is a Power Line there, recently patched up in a haphazard way, and some demon traces. Sonia Wight does some History Reconstruction and sees two techno demons - dubbed Demon Beta and Demon Gamma. She then returns to studying the Power Line. Phoenix and Psiborg Isobel follow the trail, which is apparently still hot, for suddently they are attacked by Technozombies. The zombies are dangerous, and provide sufficient distraction for the two demons to do whatever it was they were doing and escape.

Meanwhile, NurseAlexandra has her own adventures at the hospital - Headnurse Cornbelt has to punish Samantha Vanderbilt, a young and uppity temp, and NurseAlexandra holds the girl down as she receives her punishment. Afterwards she tries to be considerate and offer some good advice on how to avoid further punishment, but does not exploit the girl's vulnerability. The relationship between NurseAlexandra and Headnurse Cornbelt becomes closer - though it is not yet sexually explicit. NurseAlexandra also flirts outrageously with Nurse Claire.

Considering the increasing demon dangers, Sonia Wight finally decides to accept Deviant Inc's help.
