Why doesn't Scarlett use her magic to defeat Sofia?
Sofia uses a set of sacred Spell Chains to keep Scarlett in bondage. The victim is incapable of using sorcery against the owner of the chains. In this case, it applies to all members of Sofia's order. Sofia can even prevent Scarlett from using her magic powers altogether, but the Order believes they should make sure the wicked use their powers for good.
Does Scarlett derive her powers from being bound?
Not necessarily. Scarlett was an ordinary witch when she met Sofia. However, since Sofia keeps her in bondage, she has been forced to find new ways to use her magic powers, and it can be argued that she has become more powerful as a result.
Why is Scarlett naked?
The order believes that witches are wicked, and that they must be naked so that all can see their wickness.
Why is Sofia naked?
The Sisters of the order are not allowed to be entierly naked. They must wear a wimple at all times, and usually wear a corset, boots and gloves. They expose their sacred beauty so that other are tempted to sin. Any man can resist sin when there is tempation, but only the virtues can resist tempation. The sisters chastice those who are found wanting.
